Mooji said, protect your peace. He said, it's not selfish. That has stuck with me.
I think many of us believe we have to engage with people and situations, even when we don't really want to, even when they make us unhappy. We may have been brought up to tolerate a lot of pain, so we continue to take it when we no longer have to. It is a big deal to begin to take care of ourselves by protecting our peace, by starting to look at people and situations from the perspective of peace: is this taking my peace away or adding to my peace? Yet, I believe it's essential that we do that. Being disturbed, ungrounded, confused, unhappy does nothing for us, anyone else or the planet. It has no value in itself -- except to alert us to something we need to change. I think it's worthwhile making the effort to choose peace and be vigilant of that which takes it away. This goes right along with "do what makes you happy." Many of us are engaged in doing things we believe we have to do that don't bring anything of value to our lives. It just keeps us stuck on that same note of dissatisfaction which does nothing for us, anyone else or the planet. I think it's worth making the effort to consider if what we are doing is making us happy and if we really have to do it. Maybe we don't. Maybe there is a better way. Maybe if we had a choice, and usually we do, we can do that which makes us happy. Protecting our peace and well being helps us and helps the world. Doing what makes us happy is good for us and for the world. If you're a client you know I love to share. Below II share some of my favorite things, Most are not are not related to spiritual development. Nevertheless, I could not resist. Best Salsa Dancing Shoes -- CelebrityI started to dance salsa rather late in life. Without a doubt, it was one of the most surprising life experiences. I learned about body memory. Within one dance, my body the move I first didn't know how to do, I automatically did correctly, with no thought and no effort. My focus with learning has been the mind, outside of intuitive, spiritual apprehensions, so I really had no idea that the body, all of its own had a separate intelligence that was simply beyond awesome. I have learned to let the body take the lead when I couldn't figure out what to do in situations that required physical dexterity. So, in the years of dancing I have tried different dance shoes and settled on Celebrity for many reasons. First they are of great quality that lasts. Second, wonderful styles are available. Third, and best of all, they are made in America, in California. Most of the time you have to order a pair. You choose the size, the width, the material, and heel type. There is lots to choose from. You can order a pair from Step-n-Out, http://www.stepnout.com/ Here are the sandals I have in blue and hot pink . They are called Adrianna.

I caught an interview of Elon Musk where he says about Mars: "It's a fixer-upper of a planet." I love that view! Nothing too big. Nothing that can't be handled. A definite sense of: We can do this. I've seen other interviews. I always perceive Elon as a man with a child-like view of reality. Nothing is impossible. What an inspiration! |
