Quick Ways to Bring About Positive Change

Sometimes life feels tough. Sometimes we feel stuck. In this Help! section I offer many tools (with the gifts of various healers), that can help. 

By seeing clients for psychic readings sessions I have seen that during challenging times, what is sometimes most helpful is simply to change your mood/energy by doing something simple like going to see a movie, going hiking, going dancing, listening to  music, and most of all comedy! Comedy is a fantastic way to rearrange energy and put everything in perspective.  So, go see a comedy show or watch some comedy videos.

And we're all rattled at times and one of the easiest, fastest way to calm down is to listen to some heart-opening, calming music. Pandora, the Internet radio station, http://www.pandora.com, is great for that. Couple of my favorite stations are: Deuter; Liquid Mind. Try them out, or create your own stations.

I've also created a guided meditation called, I Calm Down, specifically for those times when you are all in an upheaval and just can't calm down.  It's available in the Shop.

At other times you'll need to make some effort to bring about change. Use whatever tools feel appropriate here.

More Things You Can Do
​to Improve Your Situation

  • Go to the bookstore or library to the self-help section and see if any books particularly address your situation.
  • Research online for anything that might help, a certain modality, workshop, group, therapist, process . . . .
  • Talk to friends, see if they have ideas or referrals.
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities in things around you: people, advertising on billboards, T.V., newspapers, magazines -- something that will resolve your question, give you an answer, point to a direction.
  • Travel. Moving your body through space, experiencing new energies, new environments, new places, new people, new smells . . . will offer a change of focus, deconstruct the usual thinking and open you up to all kinds of new possibilities.
  • Exercise, go on hikes . . . moving your body changes mood/energy. When you change energy, possibilities arise, opportunities, ideas . . . things that might not otherwise come if you were sitting in one place.

​There is lots you can do to help yourself, find the support that you need, and make things better for yourself. Just don't give up!! Keep looking; the right solution will come -- if you keep looking, keep desiring better for yourself.​

Feelings and Emotions

One of the most difficult aspects of being human is managing our emotions. We get into all sorts of difficulties when we don't work appropriately with our feelings. In reading Jane Robert's A Seth Book, The Early Class Sessions, Book 3, Seth gives a great, very specific answer as to how best to deal with our feelings. This is a direct quote, though I've changed the paragraphing to make it easier to read:​
Seth speaking: ". . . Nowhere did I tell you to hide or ignore your feelings or pretend that something did not annoy you when it did. Admit your feelings to yourself. Openly be aware of them. If they are unpleasant feelings then be aware of them as you would be aware of black clouds that pass your window. Do not pretend they do not exist, or you will run into trouble.

But when you shove one black cloud against another black cloud you can have one hell of a storm so you do not have to retaliate, therefore.

Simply be aware of your feelings, then try to understand the reality of the person involved. Why do they behave in such and such a manner?

Once you have accepted your feelings then refuse to let the balance of your mind be upset by such disturbances even though you recognize them. Send, then, thoughts of peace towards the person involved, that their problems may be solved. This allows you freedom to admit your own feelings but puts you in control." (Page 113.)

And make sure you laugh. Laughter is a fast, easy way to change your energy and lighten your mood. I have some videos on the Comedy page.
If money is a challenge, a quick way to start changing that is to read Sanaya Roman's book, Creating Money, available in libraries. A set of excellent guided meditations, based on the book, is available on their website.
You Can Heal Your Life -- Louise Hay
If you want to go into a deep exploration and healing of your current troubles, this is a fantastic book. It's not easy to work through and it takes time, but it's well worth the effort.

The Power is Within You, is also an excellent book full of insights, wisdom and comfort.

Hay's affirmation cards are also an excellent support.

All of us at times are at a loss as to how to change a difficult situation. We simply don't know what to do. At other times we have things to get done and simply can't bring ourselves to do it. One Small Step Can Change Your Life (Robert Maurer, Ph.D.), shows how you can take tiny step to conquer the largest of problems, as well as the smallest and simplest life demands.
Yoga is a fantastic way to consistently come back to silence and center. I particularly love Mimi Solaire's Deep Stretch Yin Yoga.

Therapies and Therapists

Sometimes you need a therapist to help you heal. Below are of modalities that I know, from experience, that work. There may be other effective methods that I am not aware of or have experienced. The main thing with therapy is that you should experience healing -- not only feel good for a little while after the session and then things are back to the way they always were. You should experience change. If you're not experiencing deep healing, move on, find another modality or another therapist.

All books by Jane Roberts -- Jane Roberts channeled the Seth books. The Seth books offer a description of the nature of reality unlike any other resource.

Jane has also channeled other types of books and she's written some of her own books.
