I like these affirmations because they go to the core of the problem when it comes to a sense of lack. I wouldn't say they will heal everything, but they do bring up elements of what might be blocking receiving good and support from the Universe and offer a "correction" -- the truth about how things really are.

The music is beautiful, as is the voice, and the affirmations are wonderfully insightful and comforting.

Waking up feeling down, anxious, afraid? This guided meditation will bring you to lightness of being.

  • You will start by identifying your thoughts, feelings and the sensations in your body as a way to become fully aware of yourself.

  • Then you will tune in, identify what troubles you and begin to clear it. Many times we are troubled, feel uneasy and don't know why. But if we stop and give this feeling some attention, we can often dissolve it instantly or know what we need to do to lift it.

  • After identifying your concern, you will use your imagination to release it into the divine realm to be transformed. This is a process of distancing yourself from your problem. You open up to let divine intelligence show you a higher view where insights and solutions lie. In this step, it is important you pay close attention to what is revealed to you. We go through stages in life. Things end. New things begin. But sometimes we're at a total loss as to what to do next.

Self-Care is More than a Bubble Bath

Most of us are very busy and often never get around to taking good care of ourselves -- yet everything depends on our well-being, staying healthy in every way, to have a fulfilling life.

Many of us have also grown up in difficult home situations and were not cared for in a proper way so we may not even know how to take care of ourselves. What does self-care mean? What do I do? What does taking care of myself involve?

I know I grew up reading magazines where self-care was about taking bubble baths. That's nice, however, there is a lot more.

Taking care of yourself financially is self-care. Basically, you do all you need to do to make yourself safe, secure, happy.

Robyn L. Gobin's book, The Self-Care Prescription, talks about ways of taking care of yourself beyond the bubble bath.

Theodosia Corinth's book, The Witch's Complete Guide to Self-Care, goes into the deep reasons for self-care. An amazing book for deep insights that make sense of the whole self-care notion.

I came across this beautiful book with lots of illustrations "accidentally." I think my higher self made me pull it off the shelf since I don't really have resonance with the concept of witch. And it's true. The book holds universal principles. I think the title was a gimmick to, perhaps, attract a certain audience that might otherwise learn about the importance of self-care.

In any case, it's one of the deepest books I have ever read -- though you have to read it very carefully to get those deeper meanings.

There are lots of books about self-care these days. If these two don't quite resonate with you, go to the bookstore, browse and see if you can find something that feels right to you.

Feeling Down for the Holidays? Dissolving Depression: A Guided Meditation

Alo Moves -- Fitness, Yoga, Skills, Meditation, Mindfulness, Healing

I was looking for some support for exercise and, fortunately, came across Alo Moves. It turned out to offer way more than I believed possible.

Not only are there numerous exercise videos of every kind, but all kinds of other videos.

Of course there is yoga. But what surprise me were the many videos on meditation, some of them include Tibetan bowls and I love Tibetan bowls.

And there are videos to help with mindfulness.

Another thing that surprised me is the "Skills" section -- there you can learn to do hard things like splits.

I love Nicole's Healing Journey.

There is also a program called Desire Mapping that is basically a program that leads you to discover what you really love as a way to create it.
