When you feel you're on the treadmill, can't find a way out, stop. It's most likely you are doing things that you think you have to do, but do not. You think these things are out of your hands, out of your control, but they are not. Stop. Take time off. Look at it from a distance. Do you really have to do these things in this kind of a way? Who says? Think about what you really want and what you really value, what has meaning for you, what gives you joy, then start to shape your life in that direction.
It may be you'll have to give some things up. It may be you'll make some people uncomfortable. It may not be easy to make these changes. But the fact remains that you can make them, once you step out of the rut of the ego believing the physical/social reality to be Reality.
