I am sooo excited! I discovered two great mystery writers! With a few books out already--my favorite; that way I can read them all of them :-)
Tarquen Hall has this awesome detective operating in New Delhi, India. He's a great writer and the insider's view of India is utterly captivating. His writing is light-handed and therefore thoroughly enjoyable, even though he brings forth some series social issues.
Presently there are four novels. The Case of the Missing Servant is the first one.
Patrick F. McManus' main character is a sheriff in a small town somewhere outside Boise, Idaho.
McManus' novels are really funny. The characters are continuously engaged in clever banter.
One of the reasons I love his novels is because it takes place in the country with all sorts of wildlife and interesting characters on the outskirts of society.
